No! Bay Harbor's Spray Foam is hydrophobic. If a small piece were to be placed in a bucket of water it would float and upon removal it would dry rapidly and loose none of it's insulating properties.

No! Bay Harbor's Spray Foam is a rigid closed cell foam that moisture cannot penetrate, thus eliminating any risk of mold or mildew.

Bay Harbor's Spray Foam is non-corrosive. It is neutral, neither acidic or alkaline, and therefore ideal for metal construction, or applied to a current metal building. Great for your new steel shed or building.

NO! Bay Harbor's Spray Foam offers no food value, but it would not present a sufficient barrier to their entry if they decided to chew through it.

What are the flammability and fire-rating characteristics?

Bay Harbor's Spray Foam will not sustain flame upon removal of the flame source. However, like fiberglass, it will be consumed by flame, and gypsum board or other acceptable thermal barriers are required by applicable building codes.

What does the smoke contain?

Smoke from Bay Harbor's Spray Foam Insulation, like that of all organic materials including wood, is a complex of many gasses. The major components in the smoke from Bay Harbor Insulation are carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide.
